Overlooking the Harbor

Relaxing in this walled rear garden perched above the harbor is like having your own private box seat at the best show in town.

The spectacular view not withstanding, a series of decks, patios, and garden rooms on different levels and hidden from view of one another make this tiny garden live big. Imagination is stimulated by the use of whimsy at every turn.

Plants were selected to provide a wide range of bright hues softened with silver, grey and white, echoing colors in the harbor below. Each plant had to pass the acid test – tolerance of harsh, blasting, winter winds. The use of pea stone paving helps provide a microclimate conducive to good growth. This low maintenance ground cover feature also gives busy homeowners more time to spend out on the water, or to just sit in the garden enjoying the view or reading a good book.
